Back by incredible demand for his third thrilling performance at the Liberty!
Each show is entirely new, and every time Mike Super takes the stage, he leaves audiences astounded and believing the impossible is possible.
He was named "America's Favorite Mystifier" for winning the NBC Show "Phenomenon", and you might have seen him on"America’s Got Talent"(top finalist), Penn & Teller's "Fool Us", and Ellen DeGeneres Show's "Magic Week." Perhaps his greatest accolade was winning the Merlin Award for "Entertainer of the Year" in 2011 and 2012, presented by the International Magician's Society. The Merlin Awards are considered the "Oscars of Magic," and past winners include Siegfried & Roy, Penn & Teller and David Copperfield.
Now's your chance to see him live in Astoria — where the magic happens right in front of you! Whether you’re a fan of jaw-dropping illusions or love seeing your family’s jaws drop in wonder, Mike Super’s groundbreaking style and irresistible humor connect with audiences of all ages. Author and maritime researcher Captain Daniel Marvin presents the “Amazing Life of the Ottilie Fjord” at the October 16th TNT (Thursday Night Talks).
The Ottilie Fjord, a storied lumber schooner built in 1892, was named after Ottilie Fjord, niece of prominent Astorian businessman Martin Foard, co-founder of the historic Foard and Stokes Mercantile and Furniture Store. The ship’s legacy spans decades of Pacific trade, Arctic exploration, and even Hollywood film appearances under its later name, Nanuk.
Captain Marvin’s presentation will delve into the ship’s dramatic voyages—from lumber runs along the West Coast to perilous rescues off Honolulu, and its transformation into a trading vessel that survived tidal waves and Arctic storms. Attendees will also learn about the ship’s role in transporting valuable cargo and its connection to legendary arctic pilot Carl Ben Eielson.
This presentation promises to be a compelling journey through maritime history, local heritage, and the enduring spirit of exploration. For more information about TNT, please call 503-325-2203 or e-mail info@astoriamuseums.org.

In Practical Magic, two sisters born into a lineage of witches—played by Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman—grapple with love, loss, and a centuries-old family curse that dooms any man they fall for. Raised by their eccentric aunts in a charming coastal town, the Owens sisters must confront dark forces and their own tangled past to reclaim their power and rewrite their fate. With midnight margaritas, spellbinding sisterhood, and a dash of romantic chaos, this cult classic blends whimsy and witchcraft into a story that’s as enchanting as it is heartfelt
