Please join me on Wednesday, August 5th from 3-9pm to "kick off" the new season of Ted Lasso with flights of English wine!
I'll be featuring three wines from England's own Walgate & Co. Ben Walgate is one of the few English winemakers whose work meaningfully bridges traditional excellence and regenerative agriculture! You will LOVE these.
And, the wines will pair fantastically with shortbread cookies (Ted's own recipe) from Kelly at Astoria's Easy Baked Coven.
This is going to be such a fun event. Can't wait to see you all. No tickets or reservations needed, just stop on by!Location: Brut Wine Bar & Bottle Shop

An Exhibition of Light, Resilience, and Hope along the Pacific Northwest Edge
In Luminous Coast, local artist Sarah Polenick presents a striking collection of oil paintings that explore the intersection of rugged maritime life, iconic coastal geography, and quiet moments of natural beauty. Far from just capturing the scenery, this exhibition uses the rich, glowing depths of oil paint to illuminate a deeper theme: the enduring presence of hope.
The exhibition anchors itself in powerful contrasts. The dramatic expanse of the Astoria-Megler Bridge at sunset and the timeless presence of Haystack Rock stand alongside the vital, high-stakes work of a Columbia River Bar pilot crew. Evocative landscapes are balanced by intimate velvety roses—a poetic reminder of life and softness thriving against a wild, salt-air backdrop.
Discover the collection and learn more about the artist's process at sarahpolenick.com.
