Now & Then: The Goonies 30th Anniversary 2015June 7, 2015 marked the 30th Anniversary of The Goonies movie release, and Warner Brothers and the community of Astoria have partnered to make this year the biggest and best celebration yet. Filmed in 1984 before studio sets and green screens were the standard, the beloved cult-classic made iconic landmarks out of a number of Astoria locations, many of which will host visitors and activities throughout the weekend. From June 4-7, 2015, the town will offer tours of filming locations, quote-along film screenings, treasure hunts, trivia events, a cast and crew reunion (pending cast member availability) the largest group “Truffle Shuffle” of all time!
In addition to learning what all your favorite Goonies are up to these days, you’ll be able to relive many of the memorable scenes from 30 years ago in modern-day Astoria.

Please note: Access to view “Mikey’s House” from the driveway is now closed. Visitors are to view the house from a short distance away from either the Astoria Riverwalk (see post number 4) or adjacent to the Columbia Baseball Fields. See map for locations.
