The North Coast Chorale is celebrating 30 years of providing exceptional choral music to the community and has an exciting concert coming up in March.
Lux Aeterna means eternal light: without light there can be no life, people throughout the ages have celebrated and been comforted by the concept of light giving life and hope when all seems dark. Many wonderful pieces of music have been inspired by this concept.  The North Coast Choral will be combining with the River City Singers from St.Helens, with organ accompaniment, for a production of American composer Morten Lauridsen's moving interpretation of this idea.  His work, written in 1997, is a 5-part requiem sung in Latin.
Both the Chorale and the River City Singers will be performing other works at the concert including pieces by  Mozart, Vivaldi and Lauridsen.
Tickets available at the door for $10.00 with children 12 and under admitted free.

This performance is made possible by a grant from the Oregon Arts Commission.
