Buoy 10 opens for fall salmon fishing on the Columbia River in Astoria on August 1st. This fishery is one-of-a-kind because it’s the first opportunity we have to chase Columbia River fall salmon in freshwater. Every fish heading up the Columbia has to funnel through the mouth, and that means Astoria is the place to be as Buoy 10 fishing takes center stage in August (and beyond). Check out all of the details on our webpage. The fall fishing forecast for this year has us expecting some serious fishing opportunities from now through the Buoy 10 season and you won’t want to miss it. I’m super stoked about what the next few months will bring. This year's Buoy 10 season looks a bit different than the past few years, with Chinook retention allowed from August 1st through Labor Day. After that we head into almost 2 months of Coho only fishing with a 3 fish daily limit! There are a lot of fish heading our way and I think we’re going to see some fishing opportunities like we haven’t seen in quite awhile. Seriously! I’m looking forward to being out on the water guiding fishing trips in one of the most well-known salmon fisheries of the Pacific Northwest.
