Every third Thursday is Cheap Whiskey and Dirty Jokes comedy night at the Labor Temple Bar featuring talent from Portland and Seattle’s comedy scenes. On Thursday, October 18th the guest host is Mycole Brown from Seattle. He authored the book entitled Humans of Seattle, a collection of interviews he did with random people in the northern city, which represents a microcosm of humanity. Other comedians include Levi Manis, Rachael Laurendeau, Molly Smithson and Llynn Marks. Levi Manis is a comedian with a heavy metal demeaner who delivers dead-pan one liners. Laurendeau’s comedy is versatile and approachable with a generous sprinkling of sass. She recently placed second in Seattle’s yearly Comedy on Trial competition and was selected to compete in the Western Oregon Comedy Competition. Smithson is a stand-up comedian as well as a writer, producer and marketing consultant. Marks is a Seattle based comedian who is also a poet, author, sailor and a musician. The show starts at 8pm and there is a $5 cover charge. 21+ only.
