Liberty Presents and North Coast Symphonic Band “Festive Winter Holiday” With the North Coast Chorale, Deac Guidi, & Cheri Walker 2 PM, Sunday, December 16 Doors open at 1:15 PM 1:30 Prelude by NCSB Trombone Ensemble Liberty Theater 1203 Commercial, Astoria $15 Admission Children 18 & Under: Free NCSB AND LIBERTY THEATER PRESENT “FESTIVE WINTER HOLIDAY” DECEMBER 16 The North Coast Symphonic Band and Liberty Presents will collaborate on a joint holiday event at 2 P.M. on Sunday, December 16th, at the Liberty Theater in Astoria, Oregon. “Festive Winter Holiday” is the title of the program which will feature holiday favorites for all ages. Doors open for general seating at 1:15 P.M. and the North Coast Trombone Ensemble will entertain with holiday music from the balcony starting at 1:30. Dave Becker of Manzanita is conductor and musical director and has planned an uplifting afternoon to remember. The North Coast Chorale directed by Dr. Denise Reed will contribute by singing a set of carols about Mary. Astoria’s own opera star, Deac Guidi, will sing “White Christmas,” “O Holy Night,” and “Christmas on Broadway” accompanied by full concert band and he will also narrate “The Night Before Christmas.” Guidi says, "It is a privilege to sing with the North Coast Symphonic Band. They are one of the most thriving arts organizations in Clatsop County and always go the extra mile with fantastic musicianship and thrilling performances." Cheri Walker of Seaview WA will join the band as harpist on several selections and also be featured on solo harp. Advance tickets for the December 16th event are recommended and available at the Liberty Theater Box Office, 1203 Commercial, in Astoria, from 2 to 5:30 PM Wednesday through Saturday and two hours before the performance.
