There has been a lot of “out the window” in the last year and a half. Whether that’s been staring out the window during lockdown and quarantine or throwing old traditions or habits out the window in rethinking how we live and succeed in our current “new normal.” In that light, Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum is hosting the “Out the Window Art Auction” to benefit the museum from October 22nd-November 13th. While we’ve had to throw our annual 6x6 auction “out the window,” we hope this modified art auction will continue to provide much needed funds for museum operations and will be a beautiful showcase of local artworks from our talented community. Artists from around the region have donated original works with the theme “Out the Window” and over 60 works will be displayed in the museum’s Special Exhibit Gallery for those three weeks. During that time, bids can be placed in person at the museum or online by going to fundraiser.bid/cphm. A link to the auction website can also be found on the museum’s website at www.columbiapacificheritagemuseum.org. The museum is open Wednesday-Saturday from 10am-4pm. Raffle tickets are also available for purchase at the museum for $20 per ticket and the winner will receive an exquisite original, dated and signed silver print by the late Dirk Sweringen, graciously donated by his estate. The photograph can be viewed at the museum or by visiting the auction website. Only 50 raffle tickets will be sold. The auction will end Saturday, November 13th at 10pm. Stop in or sign on and get bidding!
