Join the North Coast Choral for their Spring Concert "Songs of the Earth".  A large portion will comprise Hal Eastburn’s cantata “Songs of the Earth”.  This unique musical work takes the listener on a journey though
time; through the spiritual philosophies of indigenous people from around the world. It is composed of narrative and poetry of many different first nation tribes, all reflecting the Native American belief in the sacredness of the earth and the connections between everything that exists on the earth and in the air that surrounds it.

To this experience of words and music, the North Coast Chorale will add the photographic, descriptive images of the earth by Roger Dorband, local photographer and environmental activist.
Accompanying the Chorale will be Janet Bowler on both Native and Traditional Orchestral Flute and other local musicians on drums and strings.“Songs of the Earth” is an original piece that will be performed for the first time on the North Coast and its surrounding areas by the North Coast Chorale.

The Chorale will also be performing other works by various artists to complement the theme of nature and the Earth.  This concert is made possible by support from the Oregon Arts Commission.
