We use whole and ground spices in this hands on cooking class to prepare dishes based on a unique theme. This class, we're going to Morocco! You will learn how to cook chicken tagine with preserved lemon and olives, bastilla, couscous and crushed spiced carrot salad. Classes are a collaboration between North Coast Food Web and Pat's Pantry and take place at the North Coast Food Web Kitchen in Astoria.

Pat Milliman, the co-owner of Pat’s Pantry, has a passion for cooking with spices.  Her motto at the shop is “Eat locally, season globally”!  She is a seasoned home cook and holds certificates in Basic and Intermediate Cooking Techniques from the Culinary School of the Rockies as well as numerous other cooking classes.
