The Flavel House Museum is hosting a free “Old Fashioned Fun & Games” event for the whole family on the Flavel House Museum lawn Saturday and Sunday, May 14th and 15th, 11:00 AM–4:00 PM each day.

Looking for a way to get the children outside and away from the television and computer games? Then bring the family to the Flavel House Museum lawn on Saturday and Sunday, May 14th and 15th, between 11:00 AM–4:00 PM each day to enjoy some Old-Fashioned Fun and Games. There will be badminton and croquet along with contests such as pie-eating and sack races. The kids will enjoy testing their skills with the hoop and stick, ball and cup, stilts, or rope-making. There will prizes for the kids.

So, come have a corn dog (Yes, they had these back then, too.) and lemonade while the kids learn how Victorian period children entertained themselves.

This event made possible by our friends at Columbia Memorial Hospital Pediatric Clinic
