February 13: Capt. Dan Jordan, Columbia River Bar Pilots   Capt. Dan Jordan is a ship pilot for the Columbia River Bar Pilots. Prior to becoming a pilot, he spent 24 years at sea in the U.S. Merchant Marine with 12 of those sailing as master of cargo ships. He also served as a Naval Reserve Officer for 20 years and was a ship handling instructor at the Naval Ship Handling School in Little Creek, VA. He attended the California Maritime Academy and earned a B.S. in Nautical Industrial Technology. Dan is a member of the Lower Columbia River Harbor Safety Committee, Pacific Northwest Waterways Association, American Pilots Association, and the Council of American Master Mariners. He has served on the Board of Trustees of Columbia River Maritime Museum since 2017. He and his wife Mona live in Camas, Washington.
