The Sankta Lucia Festival, or St. Lucia’s Day, is a family festival of lights celebrated throughout Scandinavia in honour of St. Lucia (St. Lucy), one of the earliest Christian martyrs. Following the Festival, there will be dancing and refreshments in the Commons.
