As one long time Oregon coast resident said: “We need more arts, culture and music in our city & county.” So the Seaside Downtown Development Association decided to do something and pioneered the first ever Seaside Music Fest.

The all-ages mini-fest will feature some of Portland’s finest: Y La Bamba, 1939 Ensemble, The Shivas, Speaker Minds, Bitch’n, Candace, Dreckig, Boone Howard, Rilla, Jenny Don’t & The Spurs, The Domestics, Abronia and Blackbelt Eagle Scout.

The SDAA enlisted the help of Portland native Nalin Silva to book and produce the festival in conjunction with KMUN Coast Community Radio with assistance from Revival Drum Shop, Revolver Studios and Owen Walz.

“This type of music & event isn't currently happening here on the north coast. SDDA continuously looks for creative ways to bring together economic stimulus and people in the off season.” Sarah Dailey - Executive Director - Seaside Downtown Development Association

(A portion of this project was made possible by a grant from the City of Seaside Tourism Advisory Committee, funded by room tax dollars).
