The Clatsop County Historical Society presents Talking Tombstones XXI: Grave New Day --- from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 25th, at the Ocean View Cemetery; 575 SW 18th St. in Warrenton. Visitors will meet costumed interpreters portraying people from Clatsop County's past while exploring the historic cemetery grounds.

Admission is free thanks to Vancouver Granite Works, and donations are welcome. Visitors should arrive no later than 3:00 p.m. to allow enough time to enjoy the full program.

Remember the days of standing in line for your turn to vote at your local precinct? Though the lines could be long, there was an excitement in the air because you were there with your neighbors, each and every one of you exercising our most important American right....your right to vote.

In Oregon, we have universal mail-in voting. It's admittedly a better system that increases turnout, builds in safety and security, and ensures that every vote is counted. But we miss out on that sense of community, of standing with your neighbors to exercise that fundamental right. And another thing...you don't get that little sticker that told everyone, "I Voted".

So, let's take a moment to celebrate the act of voting as a community of voters. Join me at Brut on Tuesday, October 27th from 4-6 pm (Brut will be open normal hours of 3-9pm). Show a photo of yourself dropping off your ballot and get $1off a glass of wine or beer and get a very cool "I Voted" Sticker!

Bring the littles to the Trick or Treat Timber Trail hosted by Oregon Women in Timber and Hampton Lumber.

We've lit up a 900ft trail in the forest for the littles to gather treats along the decorated not-so-scary trail. All littles will receive a free book from the SMART reading program as well! Cocoa and hot cider will be served. This trail is geared for ages 10 and under. Strollers and wheelchairs are welcome too.
