November12 Events

Main Street will come alive for Warrenton’s Winter Walk as we transform downtown into a festive holiday block party. The street will be closed to traffic and filled with lights, music, and cheer for the whole family.
Enjoy free admission and stop by one of our check-in stations to grab a complimentary stocking to carry all your goodies. Visit the Warrenton Fire Station for photos with Santa, then stroll along Main Street to find Frosty hidden in shop windows. Stop into Arnies Café for cookie decorating and hot cocoa, and enjoy live performances from the Warrenton Cheer Team, who will also be offering face painting.
Main Street Market will host a Grinch-themed photo booth with fun props and instant digital photos, while the Warrenton Community Library invites kids to write heartfelt letters to Santa. First Steps will offer ornament decorating and a separate quiet zone; a cozy space where families can relax away from the bustle before heading back into the fun.
Admission and all activities are free, but please register so we can plan for enough stockings, supplies, and treats for everyone. Bundle up and join us downtown for a night of community and holiday magic! And while you’re out spreading cheer, please consider bringing a non-perishable food item to donate to the Warrenton Fire Station’s holiday food drive. Together, we can make the season brighter for everyone.

For this wonderful and exciting Christmas show, expect to hear John Denver's most beloved hits, like "Take Me Home, Country Roads,” “Leaving on a Jet Plane,” “Annie's Song,” “Rocky Mountain High,” “Thank God I'm a Country Boy,” “Sunshine on My Shoulders,” and many more. You’ll also hear Christmas songs written by John Denver, along with a wide range of traditional Christmas Songs. You definitely don’t want to miss this performance. The Fort & Friends Makers Market is BACK Saturday, November 29th from Noon – 4pm in the Lovell Building.

Join the uniquely talented and extremely productive employees of Fort George (and a few of our friends and family members) this Thanksgiving weekend for a local Makers Market.

The Lovell Building has a long and glorious history as a cultural center for the community of Astoria. This 101-year-old building, located off Duane Street in the center of downtown, housed a community market in the wake of Astoria’s Great Fire of 1922, and later an impromptu theatre. Since moving into the abandoned auto repair shop and showroom in 2007, Fort George has hosted countless concerts, free lectures, art shows, writing groups, community fundraising events, weddings, birthdays, and various parties in the Lovell Showroom which also houses stacks of oak barrels filled with delicious future beer.

The Fort & Friends Makers Market will feature crafts, woodwork, pottery, art, clothing, cards, and more, all handmade by Fort employees and our closest friends.

The Makers Market will also occur on Wednesday, December 17, 4-8 p.m.

Winter Holiday Lights sparkle bright and cheery in this downtown display, but not before we celebrate, thanks to Pacific Power for sponsoring! Join us from 5:00 to 6:00pm at the Liberty Theater, listen to carolers from the Astor Street Opry Company, enjoy free Cocoa from The Rusty Cup and vanilla shortbread cookies from Table 360. Santa will be joining us on a big red firetruck curtesy of Astoria Fire Department and will announce the winner of the Shop Plaid Raffle. We’ll close out the event with a speech from Mayor Sean Fitzpatrick, who will lead the countdown to the turning on of the downtown Winter Holiday Lights!
